Dr. Zhenyu Gao Awarded Prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant

Dr. Zhenyu Gao has been awarded a European Research Council (ERC)
Consolidator Grant to study the interactions between the motor cortex and
cerebellum during motor control. In the latest funding round, the ERC awarded
Consolidator Grants to 328 researchers, with a total investment of €678 million
across Europe. Dr. Gao receives €2.625 million for his project, CODI-MAP,
marking the highest amount ever awarded through the ERC Panel on Neuroscience
and Disorders of the Nervous System (LS5). His research aims to advance
fundamental understanding of how brain circuits coordinate movement.
