Biography

I joined the Kushner Lab in 2019 to start my PhD program on the genetic and neurobiological discovery of psychiatric disorders with focus on schizophrenia and bipolar mood disorder. The main objective of our study is to identify the causative genetic variants upon a Mendelian pattern of disease inheritance. The general workflow for this purpose in our lab goes through the next-generation sequencing technologies together with classical linkage analysis, iPSC-originated neural cell culture modeling, and neuro-electrophysiological/patch clamp recordings.
