Congratulations to Dr. Patrick Forbes on getting the VIDI grant
We are proud to announce that Dr. Patrick Forbes received a VIDI grant from The Dutch Research Council (NWO)!
The Innovational Research Incentives Scheme Vidi is a grant for experienced researchers. This year the NWO has awarded 78 experienced researchers a Vidi grant worth 800,000 euros each.This grant enables the researchers to develop their own innovative line of research.
In his laboratory, Dr. Forbes will study how the nervous system manages the complex interactions between our body’s biomechanics and the neural systems that allow us to stand upright. Using novel robotics and sensory manipulations, this research will disentangle the neuromechanical interactions that underlie the brain’s multiaxial control of our unstable body.
